Students volunteer

In the last few years, high schools have tried to encourage their students to become active in their communities. The students need to volunteer in different places in the afternoons and help people without getting something in return. The goal is to make the teenagers become more responsible, nice(ww.) and caring persons.

The students can choose where they want to volunteer. They can help old people in homes for the elderly, they can help little children in kindergardens, they can volunteer in youth organizations. They help people and do something for them. For example, some students help little kids with their homework.

In my opinion, not enough students volunteer in the communities. There are many things the schools can do in order to motivate the students to be more active in the communities. The schools can give the students who volunteer a special award with extra points which adds to their general grade. They can also make(ww.-organize) a picnic or a trip only for the students who volunteer. That would make more students volunteer.

To conclude, I think that schools need to motivate their students to volunteer in their communities. That makes the students nicer(ww.) and more mature people. It also gives a good feeling when you help others and it actually makes you a better person.
